|
| Poi* is a form of
dancing with balls on ropes, held in the hands and swung in various
circular patterns around the body. It was originally practiced by
the Māori warriors of New Zealand. It has since developed into a
contemporary performance art, and has become especially popular with
fire performers around the world.
|
|
Snakes* are a
type of poi, only instead of having just the ball of flame at the
end of the chain, the majority of the chain length is made up of
Kevlar rope, which is also set ablaze, giving the appearance that
the chains themselves are on fire
|
|
Fans*
are steel adaptations of the traditional oriental fans used in
ceremonial dance for centuries. They are fashioned with five wicks
per fan, and are one of the most beautiful instruments we use. Hand
crafted by our staff to our specifications, we have reshaped the
common constraints of this amazing tool to create a high energy
dance form you can only see here.

 |
| Swords* have
a rich history in battle and martial arts. We take sword play
to the next level when we set them on fire for our dance and battle
scenes...and yes, we use real swords!
|
|
These drums* not
only give you an amazing beat to shake your booty to, but create
great towers of fire with every strike. Created and played by
the amazing Lord Firebrand.

|
When given
enough area, we love pulling these babies out! Similar
to fireworks, these are what we call Sparkies*, and
when spun with force, sparks fly
up to 50ft in diameter! Sure to please any crowd!
*No black powder /
explosives are used for this effect.

|
| Eating* fire is
done by placing a flaming torch into the mouth to extinguish
it. Another form of eating is Dragon's Breath*, which is
when the flame of the torch lingers in the mouth after the torch has
been removed.
|
|
Transfers* are
methods of moving a flame from one area to another. Most
commonly, they consist of transferring the flame from a torch to
different parts of the body.
|
|
Breathing* is the
most popular and spectacular, yet the most dangerous of all fire
arts. It is created when fuel is sprayed
with a powerful mist from the mouth into a flaming source. Few
recognize the real dangers to one's health and body when doing this
act, so when we say "Don't try this at home," we mean it! |
*Dangerous!!
